Shanghai Xinmin Hi-Tech Park, approved by the national Ministry of Science and Technology in 2007, is a State-level incubator for pioneering work in new technologies.
Aiming to support overseas returnees to start businesses and to boost the incubation of hi-tech projects, the park provides services and preferential policies for small and medium-sized companies.
The park has endeavored to establish new types of incubators to develop more benefits for entrepreneurs. A public platform for technological services and a professional service system has been set up to integrate advantageous resources. Through cooperation with venture capital companies, the park provides platforms for financial investment as well.
Xinmin Hi-Tech Park has cultivated more than 500 science and technology enterprises, covering industries such as digital information, new materials, biomedicine and environmental protection. Excellent companies, like Sieyuan Electric, have been incubated here since its foundation in 2007.

Shanghai Sculpture Art Centeris no longer a deserted factory but now is a sculpture art center. This six–floor building was founded in 1913 but has had an extraordinary history since then. It was used as a storehouse for four banks however it also witnessed heroic acts during past bloody conflicts when it was in the very frontline. In 1999, The Architect Liu Jidong transform it into a creative warehouse which includes dozens of creative companies, design studios and art studios.
This old structure from the Qing Dynasty was a “courtyard front & garden behind” has become creative zone with the theme “JOB & LIFE”. The idea is to allow people enjoy life while they were working. Famous enterprises like BLOG BUS, Yan Youren Sculpture Workshop, Julongtai Modern Household are located here.

1933 Shanghai was designed by an Englishman and built by a famous Chinese builder in 1933. It was once a slaughter house but is now a creative workshop.
