Shanghai University Science Park is part of a wider plan known as "one district, six parks". The high-tech industrial district, relying on Shanghai University's education and scientific resources, targets high-tech enterprise incubation, scientific achievement transformation and innovative talent cultivation.
The park's strategic objective is to enhance traditional industries, develop high-tech industries, drive industrialization by the means of informatization and construct an advanced manufacturing base. The park's core function is technological enterprise incubation through reliance on Shanghai University's scientific advantages, talents, education, laboratories and innovation.
Its development focuses on scientific innovation and industrialization in fields such as electronic information, optical-electromechanical integration, energy and environmental science, biomedicine, nanotechnology and new materials.
(1) The Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Education nominate Shanghai University National University Science Park-Jiading High-Tech Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Base.
(2) Relying on Project 211, a nationwide measure to develop high-level universities, and Shanghai University's high-tech products and achievements, the park will strive to build a good environment for scientific achievement transformation by implementing the strategy of developing the city through science and education.
(3) The park has intellectual property and high-tech achievements with core technology, serving as a platform of industrial investment.
(4) The park has made great contributions to the national economy by generating sales for a large number of high value-added products and paying taxes. The output of the industrial base has reached 1.5 billion yuan.
